It was all about Kate yesterday as my Instagram friends have informed me. It was her birthday. Seems kinda odd saying happy b day to someone I don’t know, but Cheers! anyway.

So it’s not all about Kate today. I came across an old issue of American Vogue this morning (remember, September issue, Kate’s wedding and all) and while I was waiting on my man to finish his phone conversation I took a peek: that coat awww…  I love it, I want it.

I’ve been thinking about getting something similar for years but seasons change too fast and there’s always something more useful to buy. But, actually this one (from Rodarte) or any other sequin, brocade, jacquard coat can be really useful… well, for a lifetime.
You just need one flamboyant coat to make the whole look special and add some life in this winter-dull wardrobe.

Are you with me on that one?

Today is about someone I know – my friend Sabina.
Happy Birthday, sweetie.

SS 2013 Ad Campaigns

Here they are and February issues of magazines will be filled with them. Most of these have been online for a while but they keep on coming. I’ve already seen over 360 photos.

Take a look who survived through my not-so-easy-to-please eyes so far.

My Absolute Favorite

Miu Miu
What photography, colors, scene settings, captures. Beautiful! One of Miu Miu’s best ever. I’m digging the clothes too.

and some other ads that I like, in no particular order:

but favorite brands first : ). Always lovely. Cool romantics.

Great photography and model selection. Super like.
(And that bag and the top in the middle)

Reed Krakoff
Love it. Love the art direction – stylish, chic, luxe-feel, yet not pertinacious.

Piece d’Anarchive
starring arizona Muse. Love it. Unexpected, simple yet great.

more black and white.

(oh, those sunnies)

Saint Laurent
Hedi Slimane photo-magic.

Loius Vuitton
Checked. Like the ads, learning to like this collection.

Finally something from Gucci ads that I like. Starring Anja Rubik and Carmen Pedaru and that fine towards-violet-blue color.

I love this particular ad from Prada. Other ads are perfect as well but I kind of have a problem with some of the clothes – you know, sock-shoe moment.

Romantic, but with an attitude, at first look a bit modest with color reduction but they’ve got the power. Like it.

Max Mara Studio
lovely 60s vibe.

And still not sure about this one

Proenza Schouler
New thing – yes. Different – yes. Do I like it – not sure. I like it for an editorial (i.e. Dazed and Confused) but I’m not sure it’s right for the campaign. I don’t like the hair on any of the campaign ads and on this you can barely see the clothes. So no, methinks.

Just looking at this flowery explosion on these dresses usually makes me wanna jump but I’m too sleepy this morning (gonna try again later and see if this still works).

Until I get one like that first one on the left, I’m sticking to black and bundle of flowers under my arm for a Saturday super-appropriate look.
I’m not very fond of the third dress with a camel coat, though. The print pattern is too much like something my grandmother`s handmade cushion. It’s beautiful, just not my style (both, the cushion and the dress).
Style preferences aside, this is one my favorite pics of the year and I love it.

Enjoy your Saturday!
